I would come again for a weekday lunch because their deal is $6 plates which is pretty good. The plates also come with sweet and sour soup. I would get the Prawn and Tofu again because they give like 10 pieces of shrimp and its not too salty. I wouldn't get the salmon asparagus again because I'm not a fan of black bean sauce, so if you like it then it should be fine. Its pieces of cooked salmon tossed with asparagus and red peppers covered in black bean sauce.

I order from them via Eat24, at first I had no compliants. So-so Chinese eats, generally ordered on a lazy hangover day.....sadly the last three times I've ordered their young delivery men decided they just can NOT make their way thru the driveway and up my stairs and have actually called me to meet them downstairs......SERIOUSLY?! Actually was so fed up with it that the other day when the kid called me from the driveway I scolded him. Sadly, I have not figured out how to take back my prearranged tip. Let's consider this as repayment. And yeah, taken off my favorites list.

The orange chicken is crunchy and soft. On top of that they give you a lot.

First time visiting was on Christmas Day. No other restaurants open so was happy Ng's Kitchen was there! The food was freshly prepared. Deep fried prawns and fried chicken wings were delicious. The oil was clean tasting and the items golden brown. Chicken chow mein, steamed rice, sweet & sour pork were good. The shrimp fried rice was the most outstanding item, made with ginger and fluffy scrambled eggs. We ordered additional food it was so good. Second time ordering was for delivery. Was disappointed that this order of fried chicken wings contained only the flattie part of the wing and not the drummette. Not cool. Give me the whole wing or change the name of the appetizer. Will I order a fourth time? Unsure. Delivery guy stood at the door until he was tipped, which was funny! I guess he wanted to make sure he wasn't getting stiffed. I was actually looking for singles

Food is way to greasy, don't have flavor.. The prices are way over rated like seriously they could cut down the prices

A really nice, quiet restaurant with friendly, attentive service. Most importantly: simple, comfort Chinese food. The food was all piping hot! I mean REALLY piping hot. I loved that. They also have pretty large portions and it's all very cheap! The hot and sour soup is delicious. Perfectly spicy and sour. The epitome of what hot and sour soup is supposed to taste like. It really hits the spot. Their crispy HK noodles are pretty darn good. Their spicy fish was more so sweet and sour. It isn't anything special but not bad either. Their sesame chicken is deliciously crispy and sweet. They gave us really adorable chocolate and strawberry flavored fortune cookies. I almost tossed mine after getting my fortune but my friend pointed out to me that they were flavored. I'm not the only one who just tosses fortune cookies away and keeps the fortune right? These flavored ones they have are actually good and I ate it. All of it. It kind of blew my mind a little. Only bad experience I had when eating here were the people next to me talking about Yelping and writing bad reviews for different places. Rude. You're ruining my appetite. Go home. Overall, yes this place might not be that special? But it's really simple and satisfying Chinese food and I would definitely go again.

Live 1 block away but yet my delivery took an hour and 1/2... Food was cold and soggy. New ownership, a little disappointed.

The only reason I'm giving this a star at all is due to the delivery guy being nice. This is a disgrace to Asian food. The pork was literally bacon that looked like it had been boiled. The Mongolian chicken smelled bad and everything was dripping with that red oil looking stuff. Omg don't even think about it. I want to dispute the charge on my Amex for them even calling it food.

Looking for a good chinese restaurant , this is the place to go. The flavor is rich , yet natural. I have tried almost every dish. My favorite is the chicken rice noodle. The staff is nice and always welcoming too!

I just go here mainly for the hot and sour soup :) which has good portion and flavor customer service need a bit of improvement.

Stopped at Ng's for a lunch/dinner meal. I'm not all that familiar with good places to eat in that neighborhood, and I needed food ASAP. I ordered prawns with snow peas and a side of brown rice. Food is good, nothing astounding. The portions are good sizes. I finished it all, without wanting more. Complimentary tea comes with eating in. It did take a while for me to get a glass of water, though. This is a small family-run business where mom and dad tend to the cooking, and the kids do their homework until patrons walk in. The prices are decent. I paid about $10 with tip and tax.

I was really surprise by the mass amounts of negative reviews I am seeing on Yelp about this restaurant. I have been ordering Ng's for the last 3 years now and my boyfriend has been ordering from Ng's for the last 5-6 years and we love it. I have never had any problems with the delivery person like so many people are having issues with. He rings the bell and you go down and get your food. It's so simple. I can't imagine where the fuss is. The food for the last 3 years that I have known this place has tasted the same and it's really good for the price. The price is really inexpensive! We order the Chef's special. sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, and a couple appetizers and can eat it for 2-3 days. We love Ng's at our apartment.

Omg, the delivery person was so rude. She was on her cell phone having a conversation with them the whole time she standing in front of my door. On top of that, she was 15mins late. It took 1h 15m for the delivery. She didn't acknowledge me. The only word she said to me was "sign." When we opened the food, we were disappointed. We ordered broccoli beef and Mongolian beef with brown rice. We were given mostly rice. There were enough rice to feed a family of 6! The Mongolian beef had mostly onions and no beef. I counted at most 4 slices of beef. The broccoli beef wad a little bit better but the broccoli was practically raw. I also ordered a crab meat corn soup. There was no crab meat visible and maybe 10 corn kernels. Extremely disappointed. I should've paid attention to the stars this place has on Yelp.

Okay seriously. Wtf. I call today to place an order and this chick tells me to hold on. I hear her chatting in Chinese with another guy about Thailand or some stupid shit. 5 minutes later I've had enough and I hang up. I try again later and she does the same exact thing.

Got their flyer and decided to give it a try. Order for delivery at 7pm but the food got to me after 8pm. That's more than an hour. The food is cold and the sauce spilled all over. The food-not edible The service-bad and slow. I would give them no star if I could. I will never ever order from them again.

I am seriously still sick from this place. I have had Chinese food from various restaurants and I get that this place may be considered a "hole in the wall" which I typically enjoy going to, but this place is awful. Stay far far far far away. I am considering calling the health inspector.

Bad customer service when I say bad service I mean bad customer service and not only that the food is not so great itself only reason i went there is because its close to were i live. This is the third and last time i shall dine at this terrible resturant. So this was happened, my son and i walk in and ordered orange chicken, beef with black bean sauce extra black bean sauce on side in separate container emphasis on extra black bean sauce in separate container, free order of pork fried rice and cup of war won ton soup. Food was ready 15-20min. But when i checked my order no extra black bean sauce on side. I then try to correct the matter by telling the lady who took my order bout it and she ignored me the first few times i tried to get her attention. When she finally decided to talk to me she had an attitude, i still politely told her that my order was wrong and she forgot the extra black bean sauce she then went on to say in a condescending voice that i didnt order extra black bean sauce. So then we go back and forth about if i order extra sauce or not, she refused to make me some as well as to give me my money back. I just decided to leave and shall never return, as this is not the first ive dealt with bad service here. Take my word food is at best a 3 out of 10 and service is 2 out 10 dont waste your time or money plenty other great chinese resturants in san francisco.

I ordered this from grubhub.com . The first problem was the delivery. It came about 30 minutes late. Plus, the delivery guy couldn't figure out where to park his car.... Then when he came to my door he complained that I lived far away, which I told him that he shouldn't deliver to areas that are too far...... That's not my problem that your company agrees to delivery food to different areas. When I opened my bag of food, my order was incorrect. Worst of all, the food had shifted during the delivery and there was sauce splattered EVERYWHERE, so it was extremely messy when I took it out of the bag. The food was mediocre AT BEST. I had to throw the eggplant out - it was really disappointing. DON'T GO HERE

Worst Chinese food in the Bay Area. Possibly the world. Couldn't wait to brush my teeth to get the nasty taste out. And just like another Yelper, the food literally made me sick. We ordered $50 worth of food for delivery. Sampled 5 different dishes. Threw the remainder of the uneaten (90%) portion in the garbage. I'm all for little hole-in-the-wall Chinese places. San Francisco has a ton of really great ones. But Ng's Kitchen is really ng-asty.

We normally order from Ng's on the weekend and the food takes a bit. It's usually not very hot. The chicken is sometimes soggy. Even with that being said... the food is usually good. This time we ordered early on a Thursday, and the food was amazing! If they would consistently this good, I would order this every week. I ordered the general tso's chicken and my son ordered broccoli beef. So so so good! Im taking a star off for inconsistency.

This was standard Chinese food. I must say that when I placed the order on Grubhub.com , I did not notice the restaurant was in Daly CIty. That is quite a distance for delivery. 1. Easy to order on Grubhub.com . 2. Green Beans with beef - The beef was tender. When I added some of the hot sauce they included, the dish was spicy enough. The string beans were a bit over-cooked but they did still have some snap. The biggest issue though was that there was a general oiliness to the dish. The same was true with the other dish. 3. General Tso's Chicken - The chicken was also tender. I wish it had been a tad crispier on the outside. It did have a touch of overall oiliness to it. It was pretty good though. I definitely will finish off the left-overs. tinyurl.com/4xwfupw 4. Low minimum for delivery ($10). There is no charge for delivery. 5. Fast delivery (especially considering delivery from Daly City to Nob Hill). I placed the order at 1:31 pm. The food was delivered at 2:12 pm. 6. The cost was a small touch high for Chinese food. Two entrees, two orders of steamed rice, and 4 Cokes came in at $26.11. 7. The food was neatly packed in traditional Chinese food containers. 8. Overall, if it had not been for the oiliness, they would have garnered four stars. Oiliness aside, the quality of the food was pretty good. The service was fast and professional. 9. The delivery man was polite and professional. 10. My fortune was "Having more money does not insure happiness". I would also note though that having more money does not insure that I wouldn't be happy.:) 11. Lucky Numbers: 18, 27, 29, 31, 42, 6

OMG..Actually another OMG to start this review. I challenge anyone to try to call this place and see if they can take your order in a timely matter and actually understand it the first time around! I'm asain myself and this place has got to be the most frustrating place to call to order food from. It's almost comical..Seriously, If you want to have a great laugh, call this place and try to order food. It's almost like an SNL skit. I really thought I was being recorded for a morning prank show. They are that stoopid! Not only do they do not understand a single word you say, but they actually disappear from the phone conversation from time to time while you're on the phone with them! It took about 5mins. to give them the address and another 10mins. to try to explain to them what you want! The only thing they understood was "I want to cancel my order!" Buurrrrrrrhh. Or these days, a hung up beep from my iphone...

Agreed, the overall Yelp reviews are accurate about the food. My delivery was actually only 15 min. I ordered it 1 day in advance on Seamlessweb.com at 11:15am & he guy showed up at 11:30am. Got the wonton soup & the veggie delight. Lots of veggies in the dish which is great but none of them have any flavor. Never tasted a mushroom that was lackluster, but they've managed to make it that way. If there was a better sauce/flavoring on top then it wouldn't be as normal, but it's nothing to go back for. The soup's noodles were well cooked & the broth was good so I was happy w/ that but I would hope they wouldn't mess up wonton soup!

Very generous with the soup servings, whether dining in or taking to go. Their pot stickers are the BEST! And they deliver for free! Can't get any better than that!

This restaurant is probably best suited for those wanting a quick lunch to go. It's rather a small place that can get super busy and they take in a lot of orders during lunch hours. Also, the prices are cheap but the serving portion is massive! When my dad and I got there, we were able to find lots of empty tables but they were all dirty with some plates left behind after people left. Out of all the tables, we found one that was cleaner. I ordered the mango beef over rice and my dad ordered some spicy beef over rice dish. While we waited, I've seen many people come and go just to pick up or order their food. At first, I thought we were going to get our food sooner than about ten minutes (when we got it) because we were pretty much the only ones there. I finally figured that it was because there were so many calls they were taking in for orders and that they also had to accommodate those they came in and left after they ordered so they can pick up when it's done. It's still good timing, though. I would have to say I kind of regret getting the mango beef. They didn't cook it long enough and it sucked how they put in too much mango (I wouldn't mind so much if it was actually good) in my plate. The beef was good, but the mango wasn't. They gave me so much of that and so much of the rice, too. We didn't get our soup until we were almost done due to how busy they were. It's really unfortunate how they put in so many ingredients into that soup and it came out completely tasteless. They don't even have pepper on their table but they do have soy sauce and soy sauce is for amateurs who put soy sauce on a cooked Chinese meal. Lol. Needless to say, I didn't finish it.

Listen to the reviews. I ordered delivery twice from Seamless. Big mistake, especially after tonight. My promised delivery window was 30-45 minutes. After two calls to the restaurant, delivery finally came after 1 hour 30 minutes. Unacceptable. I also specified 'not spicy' on all my dishes and some still came spicy. Hungry parents. Screaming hungry kids. Not good. Avoid!!!

My kingdom for a restaurant that will deliver to the Bayview! THE GOOD: *Delivery takes 45 minutes or less. *The food usually arrives very hot. *The spicy garlic sauce is insanely good. THE BAD: *Most of the entrees are quite oily (despite this, the veggies are crisp). *The meat is a little mysterious (the seafood is okay; skip the chicken). THE STUPID: *They write "tip" or "no tip" on the driver receipt (you've been warned). *The order is usually wrong, but sometimes that means extra goodies. Today the driver removed a bag from my order before he gave it to me, mumbling something about it being wrong. After I ran inside and opened up the bags, I discovered there was no steamed rice with the six entrees I had ordered. Everyone in my office was mad at me.

  • Ken K.

It took almost two hours for the food to arrive! Everything was room temperature! The chicken in black bean sauce was mostly zucchini and dark meat chicken and was tasteless. The sweet and sour shrimp were tiny overly sweet and mostly breading. Spare ribs were good but a very small portion. The shrimp and broccoli were tasteless with very few shrimp. I will never order from this place again......when I called to complain they were rude!

First: the food. I'd said below average, but in my case not inedible. My stomach gurgled like crazy afterwards though. Severely underwhelmed. Mostly: the delivery. Took an hour and a half. The person on the phone had to have things repeated multiple times. While understandable, this was kind of alarming. Our order ended up shorting us two drinks later on. The delivery took for-fucking-ever. For such mediocre Chinese food, I'm really confused about this part. We didn't even order that much. We tried calling them back to figure out what was going on, but both numbers (why the fuck do they have two numbers listed?) lead to infinite phone ringing and nothing else. The worst part of that was that my friend saw a $31 charge on her card (note to the desperate people who eat here- DO NOT USE YOUR CARD) and wasn't getting answered about it. That's the worst when you're hungry and unsure of whether you should just forfeit, tell your bank that you never got the food in an attempt to cancel the charges, and find somewhere else that happens to be open. I'm certain there are better Chinese places to order from. This was a profoundly annoying experience.

I've ordered from here a few times and have loved the food. Unfortunately, the last time I ordered from there, the delivery guy was a nightmare. I ordered through Grubhub, and opted to pay the tip with cash instead of credit card. The guy had the nerve to yell about me not tipping and that he wouldn't deliver anymore and I had to pick up now BEFORE I EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO SAY ANYTHING or try to hand him money. I didn't eat the food, for fear of what bodily fluids or other nasty things he put in there. Your four stars just went to ONE for bad customer service. Bummer, since I really liked your food. By the sounds of the rest of your negative reviews, you won't be in business much longer.

Great Chinese Style Food (Not Chinese Food, Food is Food, don't be Lo Fon)! He He He. Very reliable and fast delivery, rare in these times. Support Good Service, Order From Ng's!

  • Emily K.

Delivery was fine (1 hour 15 minutes). We were famished and ate our food quickly, but not completely. I have to say the beef in the beef and broccoli could have used another 5-10 minutes of cooking (kind of medium rare) and less onion (and not stale rice noodles) in the Mongolian beef.

I ordered from Ng's Kitchen on Feb., 9th, and it won't be the last time. My quoted delivery time was 3:00 pm as I ordered at 2:20 pm, and my food arrived HOT at 2:45 pm.... QUICK !!! Everything we ordered was Great, the Pot Stickers, Hot and Sour soup, Loved the Won Tons in Spicy Sauce, The General Tao's Chicken was spicy, but not so hot you couldn't eat it, and the Prawns with Garlic Sauce and dried peppers was the same, spicy, but not overdone. We also received free Beef Chow Mein and 2 free cans of soda......Free is always nice!!!!! I couldn't think of any negatives on this order, and will have to try other dishes from here in the future.... I keep reading negative reviews about the delivery person, but this is the third order we've had delivered, and he has always been polite. Great Job Ng's..... I'll be Back........

  • Tommy P.

Nope. Would not order from them again. Was gonna give them a star because the delivery was pretty fast but after thinking about it, no. If I'm giving your establishment my hard earned bucks for delivery that means to my door. Not to the gate. This guy actually stayed downstairs after I buzzed him in!! That and the General Tsao's chicken was cut into uneven size pieces meaning some pieces were done right, some were underdone and some were crunchy and over fried. Don't even bother giving this place your business. They're a perfect example of what's wrong with take out/delivery chinese food.

  • Se V.

This is my first time ordering at the place and having it delivered. The delivery took a while but I didn't mind much. I am very satisfied with their foods! I was afraid that it wouldn't be good and just going to disappoint me, but I was wrong. You get a really good portion of food for a really good price! I do recommend this to others.

  • Kristie R.

This place is awful. I waited over an hour and a half for food, we got broccoli beef with no broccoli in it, sizzling rice soup that was barely hot, sweet and sour chicken that tasted like the crap you get from panda express, and the chow fun tasted and looked like it had spam in it, the food was luke warm. I will NEVER order from there again, I am tempted to ask for a complete refund as the food was not worth any of the money or the ridiculous wait. This restaurant is horrible, if I could give it less than one star, I would.

  • P K.

Ordered for delivery. I could tell the place was busy in the background, but it was annoying to have to repeat my address half a dozen times, and then the woman wouldn't let me actually complete my order, she cut me off before I was finished to tell me what my total would be (and had to chance it when I finally got all my order out). She told me the delivery would take 45-1hour and it did. What I got was very underwhelming. Fried garlic ribs were all fat - which is a shame because the garlic and spices seemed like a combo I would have liked... on meat. The Kung Pao chicken was atrocious, however. Kung Pao should be meat, peanuts, sauce, and chili and that's it. This had all manner of vegetables, which is usually a bad sign for me, but in this case even with all the vegetables the ONLY thing I could taste was ginger. I've never tasted ginger in Kung Pao before and I ended up throwing it out. The egg rolls were nice in that they weren't greasy, but then they were also cold. The only thing that wasn't a disappointment was the chow mein, ironically they give you that free. I won't be back.

Ng's Kitchen is not located in a very pleasant area. I came here to order a platter for a potluck I was having at work. When I picked it up the noodles looked like they were stuck to each other and really dry. To my surprise when I ate it at work it was really good!! Prices are decent. When I asked how many people a small party platter feeds, the cashier said "about 4-6 people." That must some be fat 4-6 people cuz it fed 25 at my work!!

It was more like a 2.75 stars, but I guess I will round up =) I got one of their menu on my door, so I decided to try it out. I didn't go for the delivery option because it was on my way home from work, so I called and picked up the food myself. The restaurant is along Geneva Ave and across from Cow Palace, not the greatest neighborhood but not too bad either. The place is pretty clean for dining in and has a fairly modern decor, but a bit on the dark side and feels a little depressing - so personally I will stick with delivery/pick up and not dining in. The food - I ordered two entrees and it came with a free fried rice (no coupon needed, but you should mention it because they didn't tell me over the phone. (they speak Cantonese btw) 1. Spareribs and pumpkin squash in black bean sauce: pumpkin is an unusual addition to this otherwise classic dish. The sparerib was tender and I like the way they slightly fried it a little first before adding the sauce. Good amount of meat and pumpkin. The pumpkin neither added to nor hurt the taste of the dish. Quite a bit of black bean sauce, which I personally like (for "lo fan"), but some people may not like that. Overall a dish I would order again. 2. Sweet corn sauce over cod fillet: another classic dish - good amount, reasonably good tasting dish. Not spectacular but at least as good as the ones I've had in any other Chinese restaurants. Would also order again. 3. Free pork fried rice: A good amount "wok air" - decent taste, only problem is that the pork didn't taste too fresh. (It has always been my theory that most mediocre Chinese restaurants won't waste good meat on fried rice). Still one of the better fried rice I've had. Personally I will definitely go again to try some other dishes, but as a so-so place, don't bother making the trip if it takes you more than 30 min to get there or if you are outside of their delivery area.

MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS PAY WITH CASH!!! I was craving their General's Chicken (which I would give a 5 if I could just rate the food) so me and the bf decided to order. He called in, told the girl what we wanted and gave her the credit card info. Something went wrong cuz he sounded all confused so I grabbed the phone. I asked her to start over (meaning cancel the transaction and start over) but instead she reads me my credit card number (which I thought would've been lost w/ the transaction) and then starts asking for my billing address and zip code, the exp. date again and then I wonder, "Why the he77 would she need to write down the card number and need the billing address???" I've never heard of anyone asking for the billing address over the phone so I hang up and we decide to just go down there. Once inside we are ignored because she is playing with the credit card machine (puzzled look on her face ofcourse) and still ignored while she answers a phone order and then takes it to the cooks.. And while she's running around busy I spot the piece of paper with my order and MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION JUST SITTING ON THE COUNTER IN PLAIN SIGHT!!! So, naturally, I grabbed it and stuffed it in my pocket - I don't trust this place!!! If I can steal my own credit card info then anyone can! It's not like I'm some skilled thief! And the paper they use is one of those booklets that makes a carbon copy so I yelled until they showed me that one too.. People need to be careful when ordering from this place, seriously!

INEDIBLE. HARDLY COULD BE CALLED "FOOD" Christ alive I was hoping to be able to make a one half star rating. I actually JUST created this Yelp account (long time reader, first time poster) so that I could extend a warning. I live in the city on the other side of Geneva from Daly City. I really wanted to walk over to Yummy House, or possibly Irving Cafe for stunningly good and cheap Vietnamese, but I had a bunch of things I was multitasking at home. WHY did I not consult Yelp first. Lesson learned... While I didn't have any of the bad delivery experiences mentioned here, and the food arrived on time, I have NEVER eaten worse Chinese food in my life. It's the 99 cent mystery meat tray food kind of Chinese food but worse. I got the Mango Chicken which sounded quite good on general principle and what arrived is that kind of Kung Pao chicken dish where not only is it no white meat at all but hardly even dark meat either. It is better described as mystery meat because in all honesty, I am STARVING right now, but I would seriously rather post the review than even try to force another bite. Will: A)Never possibly think of ever ordering this awful horrible food again B)Make sure that I Yelp everything first. I just learned this the hard way. NG'S KITCHEN - ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. TO CALL THIS 'INEDIBLE' IS NOT HYPERBOLE! I LITERALLY CANNOT EAT IT...

It's been a long time since I ate at a random Chinese restaurant without checking reviews first, and this place reminded me why it's a bad idea. Flavorless, textureless, oversweetened glop. They do delivery, which was nice, but I would have just gone hungry if I'd known.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! This food is disgusting. I had the Fried Green Onion Pancake Appetizer (which was still overly doughy with no sauce), General Tsao Chicken (Overcooked and tough), and Beef fried rice (flavorless and the meat smelled old). ON TOP OF THIS they have a $4.00 screw you service if you pay with a credit card. Bastards.

I have been here about 2 times a week for the last month or so. It is very close to where my girlfriend works and it's a nice quick place to grab lunch. We usually get a lunch special for each of us and share an appetizer. Food is good and served quickly. They always have different specials daily and the 2 specials that I have tried were both good. Love the fact that they will substitute brown rice for 50 cents. Recently, I noticed that they will also give you some fresh fruit with the lunch specials so that is nice also.

One word, totally disgusting! I was home waiting for Comcast to install my internet, cable and phone. And I was starving but didn't feel like cooking and was sick of ordering dominos so decided to look for a chinese place that delivers. Looked it up on google on my phone since I have no idea what's around my area since we just moved in. First I called to put in the order, I asked if they had curry beef over rice (for my boyfriend) and she says, " yes, we have curry meat" I said,"okay can I have curry beef over rice then". And she said,"no beef?" .. That already irritated a little. But it was okay and I put in my order of chicken chow mein after. I called around 1:30p.m and they said the food would arrive shortly. Ten minutes later, she called back and ask what we wanted again? W*F! Next thing you know an hour passes, then an hour and a half. And at this point I'm willing to settle for some dominos. So I call back and ask what was the holdup. She said she doesn't even see an existing order! W*F #2! So I repeat my order and she said, "okay I think the driver left already that's why I don't see your order here." She asked me to be patient cause they were far away. So even though I was very very annoyed already I figured he'd be here soon since he left a while ago. ANOTHER FREAKING 30 MINUTES PASS, and I call her to just cancel the order because it was ridiculous. I've never waited so long for take out in my life! I didn't realize how long I waited til I looked at the clock cause I was so busy showing the Comcast guys where everything was. I call to cancel and she tells me that the driver had left a long time ago. SO OF COURSE, I asked,"if he left a long time ago wouldn't my food be cold?" and she had the nerve to say,"NOT THAT COLD" W*F #3! Right before I got off the phone with the chick at the restaurant I heard the doorbell ring. And of course it was the food, FINALLY. The guy was holding a cigarette in one hand and our food in the other. He looked like he just woke up from a nap and he was wearing flip flops with jeans that looked twice his size! And of course, he got NO TIP. Not a single word was exchanged. He just left after taking the money for the food. After tasting the food, we realized how DISGUSTING IT WAS and soggy. Then I google mapped to see how far they were..0.4 MILES! W*F #4! NEVER WILL I ORDER HERE AGAIN.

This place is off the hook. So far everything I have ordered has been EXTREMELY delicious. I find it hard to find a good Chinese restaurant that I feel safe eating anything off there menu. Some places are hit and miss..... But NG's is my new fav! I haven't been to the actual restaurant, I only get delivery. They had a hard time finding my place a few times, brought me the wrong food once, but that worked out fine because it allowed me to try something new and they made a point to come back and bring my what I originally ordered. If you have any issues with them, I would suggest being patient, the food is worth it. My favs on the menu: Orange chicken Gen. Tso chicken Beef Green beans spicy Won Ton soup Pot stickers cashew chicken...mmmmm im getting hungry thinking about it! You should order some!!!

Bad service. Completely. Food is ok but the service is terrible. If you are hungry and order to go in this place you might as well forget it. Bad simply bad..

I ordered food off grub hub and then checked the yelp reviews and was scared of what was said. Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised. First, the food arrived in 20 minutes as opposed to 40. Second, my order was correct and hot! Overall, it was pretty good food and tasty. I don't know if I'd order from here again when I have a few staple places. But I was happy I did not waste my money.

I received a menu and decided to give this quaint restaurant a try. Actually, what really caught my eyes was an item that I never tried before - Diced chicken with avocado fried rice. Yes, my initial reaction was the same - What the heck? However, since I like fried rice and avocado, I decided to give it a try. WOW!!! Being Chinese, I had my share of fried rice, but I never tasted anything like this before. The first thing I noticed was the scent of ginger, which was not overbearing but added a delicious touch to the cuisine. Then as I munched it down, I wondered how they kept the avocado in one piece without it being too hard or mushy. A few bites later, I tasted some crisp, refreshing ingredient. It was celery. I am not a celery lover but they chopped it so fine, it actually enhance the taste. Definitely, one of the best fried rice I had in my life! Also, check out their website as it will direct you to an online ordering site. It is quick and simple. I ordered online for picked up an hour later. When time came, I dropped by the restaurant to pick up the food. It was ready to go with no problems.

I've never actually been to the actual restaurant, but all my deliveries from this place have arrived hot and fresh. I usually place my order online, which is super convenient because I don't have to spell out my address to the person taking the order as if I'm instructing a 5 year old how to spell the word "cat." The food isn't anything ground-breaking, but it's good enough to be my default "chinese delivery place when I'm drunk, lazy, or all of the above" (we all have a default, don't deny it). The variety is also quite good. Delivery is free for orders over $10, which is nice. Try the mango chicken. I just had it and it inspired me to write this glowing review.

Delicious and such good prices!! Whenever I need Chinese food delivered, I call Ng's, and they usually come in about 45 minutes. Also if you order more than $30, you get free Chow Mein! The Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Ng's Spicy Eggplant are all must-trys.

DISGUSTING! Why is it so hard to get good chinese food in Daly City!? After I got a flyer on my front door I decided to try it. Sweet and Sour Chicken has barely any sauce on it. You can get better chicken at Panda Express in Stonestown. String Bean Chicken , the green beans were good but there was absolutely no chicken in the dish. Potstickers had no flavor at all and were oversized to the point where the filling *whatever u call it* kept falling out. They outside didn't even seemed cooked all the way. I had one .. thought it was nasty. tried another to give it a 2nd chance and said forget it. I tossed it. Pork chow mein was gross. The noodles were mushy and for a minute i thought they gave me the veggie one because there was no pork . Then I found a few pieces. A total waste of 25$ and I want my money back considering I didn't eat more than half the food. PS- My boyfriend and I both woke up with stomachache's this morning. DO NO EAT HERE unless you want to wake up with a stomach ache and u just feel like spending 25$ on a pointless meal.

So they put a flyer on my door so i figured lets try out a new Chinese Delivery.. wow wish I did not! I am not sure how they got a positive review on here but in my delivery case, the food was pretty bad. My order: Sweet and Sour Chicken, String Bean Chicken, Potstickers, and a free Pork Chow Mein... I don't want to get into the details but bottom line is the food is not good, either in taste, quality, or meat portions. Yes the chow mein may be free, but it shouldn't be mushy overcooked noodles that tasted pretty bad..

I just finished eating a delivery order. We got the cashew chicken, garlic asparagus, spicy string beans, brown rice, and veggie eggrolls. I have to say it was the closest thing to east coast chinese food that I've had out here. It arrived super quick, although I think it's because we ordered it on a Wednesday night at 5. I'll wait to give it more stars if it's as tasty next time.

The food from this place tasted gamy and made me gag. I swallowed only a few bites of chicken(?), which later woke me with stomach cramps and nausea. I will try not to horrify you with the details of what soon followed. Steer clear unless you find an evening of vomiting and explosive diarrhea amusing. Whoops, I guess I let the cat out of the bag.

I have been on a Chinese food kick for the past couple of weeks, and although Ng's isn't the best food I have ever had, It hit the spot and I think I will move on to some other ethnic food to obsess over for the next week. I don't think I can recall the last time I said "Oh man, this is the best Chinese food I've ever had." So I have to believe that seeing as how I liked it, it probably rank pretty high on my scale what what I will reorder. I guess the major complaint for a lack of better words, was that the egg rolls were a bit soft and overly oily. The general chicken was good and they gave a huge portion of it, and the veggi fried rice was actually really good, and chuck full of vegetables. Delivery was about 45 min, which is what they said it would take, but I was busy watching clips of the Jace hall show so I didn't really notice the time. I would order from here again, I have no idea about the 1 star reviews, maybe it's just a hit or miss kind of place. We'll see next time I order something from Ng's.

please please PLEASE do not order food from here EVER! ... I just ordered 2 dinner entrees from them without going on yelp to do some research, thinking that they wouldnt be THAT bad. Boy, did i make a big mistake! When i opened up the food they look pretty decent, until i tried one of them, I quickly spit it out. Goddammit I just wasted $20 worth of garbage! :(

Okay I gave in to the delicious food..... I have not ordered any food for delivery which is where there problems lie. Although I had several rude people attending at the restaurant itself initially, that has not been the case since. I have to admit it though, their chicken with string beans is "good"!

If you live on the SF side of Daly City, Vis Valley, Southern Hills or anywhere on the South Eastern part of SF, you know that good food places are hard to come by - unless you're fine with fast food. I grew up in an area where you had your pick of Chinese places. Now that I've moved, there's exactly one choice for Chinese Takeout. Take it or leave it.... That said, I'm still deciding about Ng's Kitchen. If you had to ask me to lean in a direction, I'm more inclined to say yes, than no. I've ordered take out 3 times, over 3 years. The first time (3 years ago) was GREAT! They had dropped off a menu on our door - and given the slim picking we tried them out. I forgot what we had (some sort of stir-fry chicken and beef dish), but it was hot tasty, though a bit pricier than other typical chinese places. The 2nd time we ordered (a year later) we tried some other dishes. They were ok, but mostly forgettable, not what we were expecting with the order. We even found a piece of steel wool in our food... bleh......I decided to give up on them at that point. But places can change, cooks can be replaced, things can be fixed. They're still around so they must be doing some business. So last night on the way home, I ordered two large soups: Sizzling Rice and War Won Ton. Both are pretty good, and I thought the large was pricey at $8, but they do give you TWO FULL containers - so each should normally serve 2. Broth was good - distinct mushroom flavor, and had chicken and veggies in each. Hit the spot on a cold evening. The only downside is that there's one order taker/server so she was busy. I tried calling in my order 15 minutes early while on the road (going home!), but I was put on hold for 5 minutes - I practically got to the place when I finished placing my order. There were 4 cooks going full time, and some of the other stuff being plated looked good - so maybe there's hope here. I say give it a try, and try different dishes - I'm sure some are better than others. Oh, and if you order two entrees, don't forget to ask about the free fried rice or chow mein. It's really good, and more than makes up for the slightly higher prices.

Feel like an idiot for having ordered food from here. The Home Style Pot Stickers were the best part of the order, and they were fine. Like a B+ BUT the rest was plain horrible.Sesame Chicken---what the hell was that? There were piles and piles of literally inedible....something. No chucks of chicken. It was like little skinny sinews? or pieces of skin? or..??? It was nauseating. I tried to eat some of it and chewed and chewed like I was eating pieces of breaded syrupy bicycle tire. And Fried Crabmeat Cheese Puffs? How could you go wrong? What miniscule bits of dried up creamcheese and "crab-food" dwelled within the "puffs" could almost not be accessed---the "puffs" were made of something almost completely impenetrable by human teeth. The puffs could not be chewed or eaten. And, again, the creamcheese, was tiny, dried up, and with the faintest hints of something resembling imitation crab in it. finally, the Hot Chili Wonton was inedible - tasted like some weird fishy oil had inexplicably been added to it. And the wontons were moosh with something like dog poo inside. Addendum: the next morning---I have significant GI disturbance from this food. Really not good :(

Great deal for lunch, large orders in a clean sanitary environment, with plenty of parking. The first time I ordered the General Tso's chicken, it was a bit too sweet. But overall the quality of food, price, and portions for lunch triggered me to overlook that. When I do come here, I do ask "easy on the sweet sauce."

I've only had delivery, which has been consistently fast. The General Tso's Chicken usually caters well to my partner's non-Asian palate, and a few entrees I have tried all have been above average. So far, my favorite has to be the fish dishes - boneless, large portions, goes very well with steamed rice. The fried rice options were all fairly tasty, though inevitably that wonderful greasiness carries a bitter aftertaste of guilt (doesn't mix well with my P90X routine). Oh well, I suppose it's no sin if in moderation. Yes, NG's menu will continue to occupy a significant place on my fridge door.

This place makes me believe that you can get good Chinese delivery. I love a place where there's an incentive to get more... With our 3 dishes we ordered they gave us 2 cans of soda and chow mein for free. Usually when I get Chinese take out the food either too soggy or breaded. This place is the complete opposite. The food is cooked to perfection and when it arrives at your door its in perfect shape. I'll definitively order take out from here again.

Updated review. We've ordered from them two more times for delivery since my previous review and both times we were told it would be 30 to 45 minutes and the food arrived almost an hour and half later. I'll never order from them again.

wow. ordered from here twice now due to the convenience factor (online ordering, free delivery if you order over $10) but NEVER AGAIN. the meat was in my chicken chow fun was inedible. it was chewy and gross and i'm not even sure what part of the chicken it was. the boy got sesame chicken and although he didn't have the "gross meat" problem, he actually had the opposite problem: no meat at all. what was it? chicken skin covered in breading and sauce? the first time we ordered from here our food took 90 minutes to get to us. the second time, it actually came on time.. but maybe i wish it had never come. sorry ng's kitchen but .. never again.

Updated review. Ng's kitchen refused to honor their grubhub coupon twice. The last time, I called them and grubhub, they promised they'd fix my order and deliver the missing food but they never did.

I ordered from here today...Again- Delivery...around 3:00pm in SSF...Not theyre record time (arrived in just under 38 minutes..lol) but, friendly service. Again the food was good.... although the Sweet & Sour Pork was a lil skimpy on the sauce, It didnt change the dish much. Still better than my last place and Waaayyyy better portions. This isnt the last they have heard from me.

How often do you see a place with FREE delivery? They also have a two entree special which comes with free fried rice/chow mien. The food here is pretty good. The process of ordering by phone is difficult due to their lack of English, but they were smart enough to develop an online order.

I come here a few times a month for take out. I always get the same stuff which are the Peking pork chops, war wonton soup, veg fried rice, and string bean tofu. Can't go wrong with those items. I do agree with the other reviews regarding the lemon or sweet and sour chicken, it's not that great.

Not the best Chinese food I have had, nor the fastest, but reasonably priced for what is given. Had the Avocado chicken fried rice and it was kinda soggy, but otherwise edible and when the food doesn't cause you to go the emergency room for some type of salmonella all good.

for a little more than $15 I got: 1. a HUGE thing of beef w/ oyster sauce with veggies and rice 2. cup of Wonton Soup 3. Potstickers 4. cup of Noodle soup It really is a bang out of your buck. The food is okay, not the best, but not the worst. Just okay. When I called in for delivery (FREE if order is over $10) and she seemed really nice. 1 star for Cheap food (good prices) 1 star for OK food 1 star for good customer service

We ordered from here for the first time a few weeks ago and I have to say, it was pretty good for being cheap chinese food. The generals tso's chicken was yummy and the fried rice was also good, however the beef and broccoli was not that great. They also delivered it pretty quickly, so it was hot and fresh. Tonight was awful! It took almost 2 hours to get our food which is ridiculous. The generals chicken was not that good, very dry and the mongolian beef was bad also. This is so disappointing because we thought we had found a decent delivery place.

I love their chicken in spicy garlic sauce. It's the only plate I buy, so have this in mind while reading my review. I'm only judging this plate. Taste A+. The portion is usually 55% rice and 45% chicken and veggies, but on this particular day it was far from what I'm used to. It was a lot of rice and not a lot of chicken. I was surprised because the container wasn't full on the chicken side, if that makes sense. It was 2/3 rice and the chicken was at 1/3, maybe a little less. My brown rice was dry, which wasn't such a big deal for me, but there were some parts of the rice that were moist. The cherry on top was the thin, 5 inch, black strand of hair that was in my chicken. It was a Sunday and they charged me more than usual, which I get because it wasn't lunch time, but to skimp me out on the chicken I think pissed me off the most. Yes, even more than the hair in my food. This is the first time this happened to me.

I usually order in from this place and maybe picked up once or twice. The service is good at the restaurant and the place is somewhat modern looking. Its located right across from the Cow Palace and up the street from KFC/McD's. I've never eaten in so I don't know how the service is. As far as ordering for delivery, they are prompt (45mins.) and the food is still steaming once they get there. I usually get chicken broccoli/veggies. It is good and they are generous with the servings. I have tried a bunch of other things on the menu. The salmon asparagus is good - I wish they would give you more protein/fish than the veggies though. Same for the other seafood dishes. My dislikes are: If you look on the menu, be wary of the potstickers. It says "must try". Umm, I recommend you not to. I fell for it and was disappointed. As I've noticed in a lot of average asian restaurants, their potstickers are usually dough-y, which don't get any stars on my chart. Find me a place that has good potstickers and I'll give 'em 5 stars. I am a fan of potstickers and I love gyoza's. Don't you think potstickers should always have the consistency of gyoza's? There is a difference right?? Anyways, Ng's is worth a try and if you don't like it, there's always fast food down the street! LOL Good eatin's!!

This is a hip and modern looking restaurant located somewhat near a sketchy neighborhood. That said, it appears they have more food to go and deliveries than dine-in customers. They have an open kitchen area, so you can see them cooking. I agree with most of the reviews that some of the food suck. But, they are good at making a few items. I would stick with the General Tso's Chicken or the Sweet Corn over Cod, as those are generally good here and difficult to mess up.

the egg rolls are good but the rest of the food is so so and some what bland. i occasionally order from here because it is one of few that delivers to brisbane. be warned though - if you call, the lady always sounds confused and doesn't know whats going on. delivery usually takes a about an hour which is fine but one time they had to come back because they forgot some food. no big deal right? wrong. its took them forever to come back and still didn't bring everything they forgot.

I happened to be driving by looking for a chinese food place and caught them out of the corner of my eye. Inside it's fairly basic, but modern and CLEAN. A nice open space. Best of all, the kitchen is right in the center and in plain site, which is neat. The lady behind the counter was very nice, which gets bonus points. Their menu is typical, which is a-ok with me. They have brown rice, which I prefer when possible. I ordered the sesame chicken. $8.75 for the sesame chicken and $1.25 for the brown rice. Portions were of nice size. Food was pretty good, not the best, but definitely hit the spot. My chinese food explorations have been yielding some bad results, recently, so it was good to finally be satisfied. The sesame chicken itself was maybe a little overcooked and very saucey, which I like. Very savory sweet. I'm occasionally in the area, and I would definitely stop again. 3-1/2 stars.

POISON. I ordered from them twice. The first time the food was awful and I thought it was because of what I ordered. I decided to give them another try and try something else. I ordered the Lemon Chicken and it was hard as a rock. It was so bad I almost cracked a tooth. I called the restaurant and told them my order was inedible and they told me I was lying. I asked to speak to the manager and told him he should come pick up his food that it cannot be eaten. After a few back and forth....I wasn't about to budge, the manager said he would bring me another order of chicken with green beans instead of the Lemon Chicken. I said OK since it was obvious I wasn't going to get my money back. The other chicken was a little better but still not great and was tossed in the trash. The boy who brought it was very nice and apologetic so I wish I could give a better review but I can't. I will never order from this place again even if I'm drunk and on crack
